Support - Plugin installation
You may find it useful to print out these directions, especially if you are going through them a second time.
Installation of the plugin is not significantly different than downloading and installing any other program. The process should be quick and easy if you follow the directions closely. Please read all the steps below before beginning.
PLEASE NOTE: At one or more points during this process or at the first time you access our research, your software firewall (if you have one installed) may display alarms. This is normal. You should tell your software firewall that it is OK to install the FileOpen plugin. Better yet, turn off our software firewall or change it to a lower level than the current setting.
Step 1: Make sure all copies of Acrobat are closed. Click here to go to the FileOpen web site. You will see the following page. Depending on your system configuration, you may see something slightly different than the red plug. Some people see a blue shield, others see a simple gray box with a "OK" or "Install" button:
Step 2: Click the big red "plug" in the middle of the screen (or the blue shield or the gray button, depending on what you see). Depending on your browser settings, you'll be asked if you want to run the program or save it. You want to save it. Make sure you save it to a place you can remember. Once you choose a place to download the file, it only takes a few seconds on a broadband connection.
Step 3: Once you download the installation program, go to where you saved it and run the program. It will probably be named "FileOpen Installer".
Step 4: The installation takes just a few of seconds. You'll get a box that tells you the installation is complete. Hit "OK".
Step 5: Test the installation by clicking here. If the installation worked, you'll see a PDF document with the BSR logo on it and text that indicates you've successfully installed the FileOpen plugin. You're finished! You can now access any of the research on the BiotechStockResearch.com web site.

After a successful installation, make sure to turn your software firewall back on or restore the setting to where they were originally.
