Raptor Phama (RPTP) is potentially an early version of BSR favorite BioMarin Pharma (BMRN). Raptor was formed by several former BioMarin executives and managers, and both companies focus on orphan diseases. Raptor even inlicensed some BioMarin technology.
Neurobiological Technologies (NTII) is one of those companies we would have jumped on eight years ago. Low price, late stage data, and an interesting back-up drug that Wall Street doesn’t assign value to. However, the drug is a blood clot buster – a class of products that makes oncology products look like sure things for approval.
Asphelia Pharma is a private company working on autoimmune diseases. We won’t spoil the surprise as to how they do it. Suffice it to say that we were intrigued enough when we saw their presentation at the BIO conference to spend a few pages on them even though they are privately held.
We also update our coverage of the following companies in our coverage universe:
Dendreon (DNDN)
Hana Biosciences (HNAB)
